Meet the Team

The Crew Down the Road.

The people behind every Mariner project.

The Founders

Justin and Gabe first met on rival high school teams. The partnership grew at Maine Maritime Academy, and after graduation both sailed as unlimited-horsepower engineers on merchant vessels around the world. In 2020 they founded Mariner to bring that engineering home to Maine.

Gabe Giguere, Co-Owner of Mariner Construction

Gabe Giguere

Co-Owner

Born in Manchester, Maine, Gabe grew up in his dad's shadow, working in the garage, on snowmobile trails, sleds, and boats. The desire to figure out how things worked took him to Maine Maritime Academy, and he sails today as chief engineer aboard an oil tanker. The spare time went to the trades, installing commercial cabinets and doing carpentry alongside his uncle Bruce, where he found a growing appreciation for high-quality construction.

That appreciation became his own home: an energy-efficient ICF build in Mt. Vernon. Gabe is a man with a vision and determination for the highest quality, custom construction from start to finish.

Justin Lovely, Co-Owner of Mariner Construction

Justin Lovely

Co-Owner

Justin grew up in West Gardiner, earned a Bachelor's degree in Engineering at Maine Maritime Academy, and sailed as a ship's engineer. Solving problems is his favorite part of the job, and the ones that seem too big are his specialty. He completed Eljen septic system training and is a certified Eljen installer.

On a job site, his pup Enzo is usually right behind him, or ahead, checking it over. Off it, Justin is remodeling his own home, hunting, fly or ice fishing, or spending time with friends and family.
