Excavation & Sitework
What Everything Else
Stands On.
From site clearing to final grade: driveways, drainage, retaining walls, and access roads.
Excavation & sitework
Excavation and site prep, from initial clearing through final grading. Water has to leave the property the right way, and everything built after us needs a base that does not move. How the work holds up is decided by what goes underneath: the base material, the compaction, the drainage.
We are DEP certified for Maine's shoreland zone. Granite ledge close to the surface is common, and it changes the foundation depth, the drainage, and the cost, so we assess for it early rather than discover it mid project. A failed sewer or water line does not wait for business hours, so we offer 24-hour emergency sewer and waterline repair.

- Septic system site work
Mariner Construction installed our 550-foot driveway, septic system, and gravel pad for our new home. Built during an extremely wet spring, they used the best possible products to ensure a solid base and that it was done right the first time.
Couple of stars out of Maine Maritime, doing their sea duties plus having a knack for excellent excavation work! Had to hook up to town water line short notice but these guys were polite, professional and time considerate.
Where we work
We do site work across Central Maine, in and around Augusta and the Belgrade Lakes: Augusta, Manchester, Winthrop, Readfield, Mount Vernon, Belgrade, Rome, Smithfield, Fayette, Wayne, Sidney, Litchfield, Gardiner, and West Gardiner, and up to the Carrabassett Valley. We keep working relationships with the surrounding towns, because a failed sewer line is not the moment for introductions.
