Welcome to Mariner Construction!

Founded in 2020 by Justin Lovely and Gabe Giguere, Mariner Construction is based in central Maine. Owners Justin and Gabe first met playing sports against each other at rival high schools. Later they went on to both attend Maine Maritime Academy where their partnership grew. Post graduation they both spent several years sailing as unlimited horsepower engineers on merchant vessels all around the world. But being gone for long periods of time can be tough, and so Mariner Construction was born. We are bringing our varied backgrounds and education together to bring high-quality work to the great state of Maine. We are convinced that you will find our services to be of the highest quality and integrity.

We are confident that by the end of our projects together you will be part of the Mariner family.

Meet the Team

Gabe Giguere, Co-Owner

Born in Manchester, Maine, Gabe grew up in his dad’s shadow, working in the garage, on snowmobile trails, sleds, boats whatever it may be. His inherent desire to figure out how things worked led him to choose Maine Maritime Academy. He used to say it was the perfect mix of his mental and physical abilities. Every extra minute Gabe had, he spent growing his construction skills while building and installing commercial cabinets and working with his uncle Bruce, a carpenter where he found a growing appreciation for high-quality construction.

After searching the real estate market for several years and not finding the right place, he found “the land” in through a family friend where he built his own energy-efficient ICF home in the beautiful town of Mt. Vernon. Gabe is a man with a vision and determination for the highest quality, custom construction from start to finish.

Justin Lovely, Co-Owner

Justin Lovely grew up in West Gardiner before attending Maine Maritime Academy where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Helping solve problems or bring customer visions to life is his favorite part of the job. Have an idea that may seem too big? Justin is your guy to make it happen. Justin completed Eljen septic system training and is a certified Eljen installer

If you see Justin, his pup Enzo is likely right behind (or ahead) of him checking out the job site. When he isn’t working, you’ll find Justin remodeling his own home, hunting, fly or ice fishing, or spending time with his friends and family.

Richard Hall, Foreman: Excavation

Richard is an excavation foreman who brings a lifetime of hands-on experience to the job. Raised on his family’s farm in Mount Vernon, he developed an early familiarity with heavy equipment—local legend even suggests he was running machinery before he could walk.

From septic systems to site work and foundations, Richard has the experience and know-how to handle it all. His strong work ethic and well-rounded knowledge make him a valuable leader on any project.

Outside of work, Richard enjoys spending time with his son, Ryker, and tackling projects on his own home.
